Membrane nitrogen generators operate on the principle of selective permeation. Different gas components in air exhibit distinct solubility and diffusion rates when passing through polymer membranes. Fast-permeating gases are separated from slower-permeating components, such as nitrogen, by exploiting this property.
1. Offshore oil platforms:
Produces inert nitrogen for explosion prevention and oxidation control, ensuring operational safety.
2. Oil tankers (oil–gas displacement):
Displaces flammable gases in cargo tanks to eliminate explosion risks during transportation.
3. Vehicle-mounted mobile nitrogen generator:
Compact and flexible, enabling on-site nitrogen supply for temporary work sites.
4. Field military applications:
Rapidly generates nitrogen for field operations, equipment protection, and explosion prevention.
